| Description |
English: Cereal crop west of Crabb's Abbey Farm. The huge grain silos > 1390197 of Manor Farm, further to the north-east, dwarf the adjoining farmhouse. Distances can be very deceiving in the flat fenland: on walking towards an object one soon discovers that what appears to be fairly close is actually quite some distance away. It is about one mile from here to Manor Farm, as the crow flies. This view was taken from a farm track that zig-zags around fields in the fenland north of Hill Farm and is shared by several farmers. This grid square contains not a single building, not even a small shed. |
