A 25 km de Rocamadour : Un modèle de château fort. Le château, siège de la puissante famille des barons de Castelnau, est un imposant témoignage de l'évolution de l'architecture castrale. Conçu pour résister aux assauts des guerres médiévales, il s'adapte aux progrès de l'artillerie aux XVe et XVIe siècle. Le sauvetage. Dévasté par un incendie en 1851, Castelnau renaît grâce à Jean Mouliérat, ténor de l'Opéra Comique. Entre 1896 et 1932, il restaure et installe une importante collection de meubles et d'objets d'art pour rendre au château l'âme des époques traversées.
