editDescriptionChâteau de Chenonceau (A05).jpg |
English: The castle of Chenonceau, photograph by Daniel Freuler and published in 1896 in France, watercolors, memories of travels, issue n° IX, the castles of the banks of the Loire, editor L. Boulanger in Paris. Note that the Diane's garden does not have its elevated terraces yet, but only a protection of the floods of the Cher by a lifting of earth. This suggests that this representation of Chenonceau must date from the period when Mrs Pelouze is owner of the castle of Chenonceau and therefore before 1888. The process used is photochromy. Daniel Freuler was born in Puteaux 31 May 1862 (birth certificate dated 1 June 1862, n° 126). Widowed first marriage of Marie Prévot (died at the age of 36 years, 23 October 1899 in the 15th arrondissement of Paris) and married in second marriage in Paris in the 14th arrondissement on 29 January 1901 with Louise Antoinette Cagny. He is of Swiss nationality. Daniel Freuler is an active photographer from the 1880s to the beginning of the 20th century. Workshops in Paris : 8 rue de La Barouillère (now rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste-de-La-Salle), then 195 rue de Vaugirard and finally 169 rue de Vaugirard.
