Description	Château de Fréteval (Loir-et-cher). 47° 53′ 07″ Nord 1° 12′ 41″ Est Le donjon vu depuis la vallée du Loir. The tower seen from the valley of the Loir River (near the road bridge). Le château comprenait 3 lignes de défense. Le château a toujours été transmis par succession héréditaire depuis le XIème siècle. Le donjon de Fréteval, dont la date de construction est voisine de 1090 et la destruction par les troupes anglaises de 1428/1429 aurait été l'un des premiers donjons circulaires avec ceux de Doué-la-Fontaine et Langeais. La construction est en rognons de silex et poudingue liés par un mortier à la chaux. L'alignement des trous de boulins crée des lignes de faiblesse visibles. The castle consisted of three lines of defense. The castle has been transmitted by hereditary succession since the eleventh century. Dungeon Fréteval, whose date of construction is around 1090 and destroyed by British troops in 1428/1429 was one of the first circular dungeons with those of Doue-la-Fontaine and Langeais. Construction is flint and poudingue bound by lime mortar. The alignment holes putlogs creates visible lines of weakness.
