English: Chabahil Ganesh Temple i.e. Chandra Binayak Ganesh Temple in the busy southwest of Chabahil Ward No. 7 i.e. Chabahil Chowk of Kathmandu. This temple is considered to be one of the four famous Binayakas of the valley. Four Ganeshas of the valley are protecting the Kathmandu valley. Ganesh is a very popular deity of Hindus, so every good deed is started by worshiping Ganesh first. This Binayak is also called Raktabinayak. This pagoda style temple has a very attractive small black idol in the position of a two-armed serpent. In the Devmala genealogy, it is said that when a person has to start a legitimate race, he can be cured if he is afflicted with diseases such as tearing of hands, feet, sores and sores.

This idol is also called Lhoshala Ganesh because it was brought from Handigaun and installed here. Statues of Ashta Bhairav and Ashta Matrika are carved in the wooden tundals of this temple. These Ganeshas have different names. In Newari language, Lohoshala means Ganesha brought by pulling a stone. Inscriptions of Samvat 847 and Toran inscription of 1936 also mention Lohoshala Ganesh. It is mentioned in the inscription that it was renovated by King Mahendra Singh Dev in the year 840. There are idols of Betal and Narayan sleeping in front of the temple. There are also 8 inscriptions in the temple premises, various small idols of gods and goddesses. There are also sattals and patis in the temple premises.

This Ganesha is also called one of the eight Binayakas of the valley. Bhairav is also included in the Ganesh Jatra. According to the Devmala genealogy, Bhupalendra Mallas Queen was ordered to make a pilgrimage in a dream around 800 AD. On this occasion, special worship of Chandra Binayak is performed. As there is a chaitya in the temple premises, this place is considered to be the confluence of Hindus and Buddhists. It is said that this temple was built in 1650 AD. There is a belief that worshiping this temple cures various diseases. Due to the huge crowd of devotees in this temple on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Ganesh Chaturthi, security personnel have also been provided here. This Ganesha temple is very well organized and clean.
