Chambord (Loir-et-Cher). Le château la nuit (Façade sud-est). Construit sur ordre de François 1er, le château comprend plus de 400 pièces. La légende veut que le château comporte, 365 cheminées, une par jour. Mais officiellement il y en aurait "seulement" 282. Le château est consacré à la chasse, ce n'est pas un lieu pour vivre, d'ailleurs François premier n'y résida que 72 jours. Les terrasses offrent une vision à 360° permettant de suivre les chasses autour du château. The castle at night (Southeast facade). Built on the orders of François 1er, the castle consists of more than 400 pieces. Legend has it that the castle has 365 stacks, one for each day. But officially there would be "only" 282. The castle is dedicated to hunting, it's not a place to live, besides François I lived there 72 days. The terraces offer a 360 ° to monitor hunts around the castle. |
