| Description |
English: Channelled section of the Malago, Bedminster This short overground section of the Malago 'river' exemplifies the way in which this watercourse is managed as it flows through southern Bristol towards its discharge point at the Avon New Cut. On its way from Dundry Hill it is sometimes found as a natural stream following its historic course across former water meadows, and sometimes diverted beneath roads and housing areas via culverts. In the past, it has been a source of serious flooding in built-up areas. |
