Description
English: HMS Centurion, under Commodore George Anson, taking the Nuestra Señora de Cavadonga Spanish galleon on 20 June 1743, near Cape Espiritu Santo in the Philippines. The Nuestra Señora de Cavadonga was towed by the Centurion to Canton, where its hull was sold to the Portuguese for 6,000 pesos. Painting by Charles Edward Dixon.
