Description Creator: John Smith Date: 1910 Format: Photograph; platinum process / platinotype Material: Paper Collection: The Royal Photographic Society Collection at the National Media Museum Inventory no: 2003-5001/2/22856 Blog post: Snappy 5th birthday Flickr Commons Charles Frederick Inston (d. 1917) became Secretary then President of the Liverpool Amateur Photographic Society. He was an elected member of the RPS in 1896 and Fellow in 1901; organiser of the Northern Photographic Exhibition. This photograph was included in Inston's obituary in British Journal of Photography (11 May 1917, vol 64, number 2975, page 248) where it was attributed to "(probably) Mr Furley Lewis, provided to the magazine by Mr R Shepherd, secretary Liverpool Amateur Photographic Association and taken in 1912 or 13."
