Summary edit

Description
English: The Charles W. Miller House at 172 Summer Street, Buffalo. Miller was the owner and operator of a livery business on Huron Street, and built this Italianate-style residence for himself in 1887. He was known to watch the comings and going of his horse-drawn cabs from the four-windowed widow's walk in the tower. Later owners of the house included Stephen Spaulding, owner of the Spaulding Coal and Coke Company (1921-1948) and Dr. L. Halliday Meisburger and his son, both of whom used it to house their dental practice (1948-at least the 1970s).
