Summary edit

Description
English: Charles Streuli (right), the fire, aviation and forest management staff officer of the Tongass National Forest, sews a button onto a Tlingit blanket being made to represent the healing process between the tribes and the Federal Government (Glacier Bay National Park) during a visit to the Hoonah Indian Association Carvers’ House in Hoonah, Alaska, on July 19, 2018. Jolene King (left), Hoonah Indian Association cultural tourism liaison, explained the significance of the blanket and oversaw the process. The Tongass National Forest Leadership Team was in Hoonah for a week-long meeting, but was also able to experience some of the rich history and culture of the area.
