Le couple passait pour représenter le duc Charles d'Orléans et Marie de Clèves (Guide illustré du Musée des arts décoratifs, 1923 ; Raimond Van Marle, Iconographie de l'art profane au Moyen-âge et à la Renaissance, et la décoration des demeures.
