English: A 1445 Daoist "true form chart", a type of esoteric diagram combining image and text in an aniconic way and considered the highest scriptures, reflecting the "true form", approximate to the formless Dao itself. Called "Picture of the Primordial View". According to Shih Chan Susan Huang (2012), p. 136 [1], it is part of a group of medieval true form charts called "True Form Charts of the Man-Bird Mountain". |
