Summary

edit
Description
English: Chatu dekchibasa (literally meaning mushroom cooked in a pot) is a cooked dish from Odisha, India. Diced vegetables like mushroom, potatoes, tomatoes, onion, garlic and chili pepper are mixed with turmeric powder and salt to which raw mustard oil is mixed—the mixture is cooked in a earthen or metal pot in simmering heat. Sometimes, oil and spices from locally-made mango pickle (raw mango pickled with mustard oil and spices) are added to this mixture while boiling. Dekchibasa is generally popular in northern Odisha districts like Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak and Keonjhar.
