Français : Childéric et Basine, tableau exposé au Salon de 1822 (no 951) avec la description suivante : "Childéric, forcé de quitter son royaume, se présente à la cour de Basin, où il reçut une hospitalité généreuse. Childéric n’avait pu voit la Reine sans éprouver un amour d’autant plus violent, qu’il voulut le combattre pour ne point offenser un monarque hospitalier. / A peine le messager de Viomade lui a-t-il présenté a moitié de la pièce d'or, qu'il sen se réveiller en lui le courage et l'honneur, s'arrache des bras de Basine, en saisissant son bouclier et sa lance."
