Description |
English: The natural amphitheater on the northeast corner of the AYPE grounds had a capacity of 20,000 people. Well attended events, such as President Taft’s speech and performances of the Children’s Choir, were held in the amphitheater. The performance depicted here was probably the Seattle public school children’s recital on Children’s Day, June 5, 1909. Banners for Central School and T.T. Minor School are visible in the image. Caption by MOHAI staff. Embossed on mount: Harwood
