Español: La animita ubicada en la Plaza de armas de Chillán, corresponde a Juan José Martin, estudiante de 17 años que falleció tras la caída de una rama de un árbol. El contexto en que sucedieron las cosas, de acuerdo al diario La Discusión del 3 de febrero de 2020, Juan José quien era estudiante del Liceo Bicentenario Polivalente de San Nicolás, había acompañado a una compañera de colegio a un velatorio de otro alumno, del mismo establecimiento educacional. Juan José se percata de la caída de la rama y alcanza a empujar a su compañera antes de fallecer por el golpe de la misma. Su fallecimiento ocasionó la preocupación de los estados de los árboles en la plaza, y la crítica a las autoridades locales por descuido de estos. |
