On the 91st anniversary of the September 18 Incident, which marks the Imperial Japanese Army’s occupation of Northeast China, the Palace Museum of the Manchurian Regime in Changchun, Jilin Province, has released new findings. They include evidence of the Japanese Army’s Unit 100 having launched germ warfare against the Chinese people and military during World War II, as well as conducting other surgical experiments on living human beings. More than 320 historical photos, 350 cultural relics (sets), 65 archives and 5 audio-visual materials have been exhibited. The Museum of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province also revealed new evidence of the Japanese army's atrocities during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45), including a rotary gun camera used by the Japanese to test the hit rate of weapons, which can photograph the shooting process when necessary. The exhibition aims to expose Japanese war crimes, and also hopes to arouse public thought about the threat of biological warfare to humankind. |
