Chinon (Indre-et-Loire) Le logis Royal.
The "Logis Royal" is a part of the castle of Middle. The "Logis-Royal is built in the fourteenth and fifteenth century. As of 1472, the Dauphin Charles takes up residence in Chinon. The house take their final appearance. Three building wings are built around a courtyard. One room is transformed into areal tennis room. The Hall of Justice is the great hall of the castle. This large room where, according to legend, Joan of Arc recognize the king. This room will be destroyed, and it remains today as the fireplace mantel. Marie of Anjou lived in the castle for over 25 years (1435-1461). From the sixteenth century, the royal court leaves the castle. We installed a small garrison headed by a governor. |
