Description

I took the night train from Seoul down to Fusan where I delivered supplies to Jack Davis. We spent an interesting day day taking photos at the RR station and docks. And we went to a Christmas Eve service at a Fusan church. We brought food from a mess hall and I recall the turkey and trimmings were tasty. My mess kit was a WWI model with a flat top instead of the newer WW2 models that had compartments.

The passenger train between Seoul and Fusan had a sleeping car for U.S. troops. It had 13 berths on each side in 12 as in U.S. Pullman cars. I carried my sleeping bag and mess kit on the trips I made on that route.

The United States was at peace and we knew we would be home within a few months. It was a Christman that I won't forget.
