About two years ago I met Little Lisa and her family, Lisa was born with a disability with her legs. When she was less than a year old she had other complications and was in a coma for 18 days when she got Pneumonia due to her malnourished condition. The doctors told her mother their was no hope and took her off the machines that were helping her breathe. As soon as the doctors turned the machines off, Lisa started to breathe on her own, and a few days later came out of the coma, it was a miracle. Lisa still cannot stand on her own due to her leg disability, and needs a small walker to get around.

Lisa and her family of 5 live in a 10x20' cinder block building with cardboard covering their walls for insolation, a dirt floor, and a plastic tarp for a roof. You would never hear them complain about what they have or don't have. Rather each time we go, they want to give us their best rooster as a thank you gift.

This past monday (12.9.13) I had the greatest pleasure of being Santa to a few of the most amazing kids. Meet Lisa and her family, this was the first time they have had a Christmas tree with lights and ornaments, new shoes and socks, and one new outfit for each of the kids. Vera and I also took them for a ride to the mall about 40 minutes away, which was the first time they had been in a newer car and Bryan's (in blue) first time away from his local village. It was one of the best Christmas's for us to be able to give such joy to this amazing family. Whether it be the holiday season or not, give what you can to make a difference and be grateful for what you have. I know Lisa is....
