Summary

Description
English: Chronic wound pathogenesis: Schematic representation of the elementary aetiological factors (blue), the resulting morphological correlates (green) and the consequent pathophysiology (red). The reciprocal interference of the pathophysiological factors is shown. These changes perpetuate inflammation in chronic wound pathogenesis.
