English: "Charles Téophile de Bésiade, marquis d’Avaray, baron de Lussay, de Courbouzon et de La Brosse-Montmort, is born on 04 November 1701. He was grand-bailli d’Orléans et maréchal des camps et armées du Roi. En 1735, he was married to Marguerite Elisabeth Mégret d’Etigny, daughter of François-Nicolas Mégret, seigneur d’Etigny, de Passy, conseiller d’Etat et grand audiencier de France. He died in Antwerp on 30 May 1746.Il décède à Anvers le 30 mai 1746. He lived at the Hotel d'Avaray, built for his father by the architect Jean-Baptiste Leroux. Finished in 1720, it was bought in 1920 by the Netherlands to house its Embassy."
