Summary
editDescriptionCliff , River Tame and flooded gravel workings - geograph.org.uk - 1082353.jpg |
English: Cliff : River Tame & flooded gravel workings Almost the entire distance from Kingsbury to Dosthill between the Rive Tame and the A51 is filled with numerous lakes formed by the flooding of former gravel workings. This view here, taken from the very end of Cliff Hall Lane, looking immediately to the right of 1073614 is at roughly the half way point between the villages. The water that can be seen here is probably the River Tame, which is nearer than the lakes, but the river may be invisible in a dip as what is visible looks more like one of the lakes. Take a look at this aerial view to make up your own mind ! http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&FORM=LMLTCC&cp=srww7jgvrycb&style=b&lvl=1&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=7435984&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&encType=1&mapurl=1073614.kml |
