Description
English: Cliffs south of Fleswick The beach of Fleswick Bay is a convenient stopping point for lunch on a sea kayak trip, avoiding the crowds of St. Bees. The cliff scenery loses height south of this point, but still makes an impression as the corner is rounded into the bay of St. Bees.
The cliff rock is sandstone of the St Bees Sandstone Member, formed about 250 million years ago during the Triassic Period of the Earth's geological history.
