| Description |
English: Climbing at Eshaness The cliffs at Eshaness by the lighthouse provide some of the best climbing on the Shetland Islands. The cliffs are mostly just short of 50m high which makes them ideal for climbing in a single pitch with 50m ropes. In many cases, convenient ledges are found just above the waterline which provide a location from which to climb. As can be observed in this image, access to these ledges - or where they don't exist access to hanging belays - is by abseil. |
