Summary
editDescriptionCloseup of a Maunsell Tower at Red Sands Fort - geograph.org.uk - 180551.jpg |
English: Closeup of a Maunsell Tower at Red Sands Fort. This closeup of a Maunsell fort tower at Red Sands shows the level of decay and dereliction after over 60 years of weathering. In places the windows aren's so much as rusted shut as rusted away. A sign on its roof gives evidence of another more recent use - it was the site used by Radio 390, a pirate radio station that set up residence there in the 1960s. Now it's only occupants are seagulls. |
