Summary edit

Description The Simply Butterflies Conservation Centre also attempts to explain the difference between butterflies and moths, and their larvae. Butterflies have their wings open, while moths have their wings closed, and are therefore triangular in shape. There are a couple of dead mounted moths there as well. These are moth cocoons, wrapped in silk covering. The larva or cocoon of a butterfly is called a chrysalis. (Bohol- Tagbilaran, Philippines, May 2013)
