Description

CLAY NATIONAL GUARD CENTER, Marietta, Ga., Jan 8, 2015 - Governor Nathan Deal administers the oath of office to Col. Thomas Carden who replaces Brig. Gen. Joseph Jarrard as the commander of the Georgia Army National Guard.

Carden, a 28-year Georgia National Guard combat Veteran, says despite the change it will be business as usual. “Readiness is the ‘product’ we produce for the State and our Nation,” Carden said. “It is the key to building and sustaining as a ready force.”
