The College Boboto is one of oldest school that the belgian colon leave in DRC. He was created in the name of College St-Albert by one the assembly from Jesuit assembly at 1937

Français : C’est le gouverneur général du Congo belge qui fit appel aux jésuites pour instruire et éduquer les jeunes européens en nombre grandissant à Léopoldville.
Le lundi 4 octobre 1937 le collège ouvre ses portes sous la dénomination 'Collège Saint-Albert' nom choisi pour faire honneur à saint Albert de Louvain, saint patron du souverain belge de ce temps là, Albert 1er. Il occupe alors des locaux prêtés par les Dames du Sacré-cœur. Trois jésuites (deux prêtres et un scolastique) et un laïc prennent en main les trois premières classes ainsi que toutes les activités scolaires et parascolaires. Ils habitent provisoirement à un kilomètre du collège, sur l'avenue Lippens. Le calendrier scolaire, l’horaire des cours et le nombre d’heures de cours suivent la législation belge. Le programme des cours est inspiré explicitement de celui du collège Saint Jean-Berchmans de la Compagnie de Jésus à Bruxelles. |
