| Description |
English: College of many names Every time one walks along Lord Mayor's Walk one almost expects to see a new name board appear outside this seat of learning. Originally it was the York Diocesan Training School, and later became St John's College for teacher training. Around 1980 it amalgamated with the training college at Ripon [now closed] and became the College of Ripon and York St John. It is now the University of St John, but by this time next year it might have changed again! |
