Summary edit
DescriptionColors of corona rings 3D.png |
English: Corona around moon or sun resulted from light diffracted by waterdrops in the clouds. From each cone a person only views the light which reaches his eye. As red light has a greater diffraction angle than blue light, the red light one sees comes from a drop in a greater distance from the center of the corona than the blue light. So the red ring has a greater radius than the blue ring. |
