English: "Pugh Videttes Drill Company and band in a downtown parade on South High Street. The American House Hotel is seen at the left located at 85 South High Street and a streetcar is turning onto East State Street at right. The group was founded in 1879 as Company A, 14th Infantry, Ohio National Guard Band. Later Judge John M. Pugh re-organized it under his name in 1893 and it lasted until 1896 with Fred L. Neddermayer as conductor" |
