Description

A view of five Columbus Clippers in the dugout during the 1979 season. The man second from the left is Gene Michael, the Clippers Manager. In 1979, the Clippers went 85-54 and won both the International League pennant and the Governor's Cup by defeating Tidewater 3-1 in the semifinals and Syracuse 4-3 in the championship. The Clippers were the AAA baseball affiliate team for the New York Yankees.
