English: Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) Tall plants with clusters of pinky lilac flowers loved by bees. The leaves and stems are quite hairy.
Long used as a topical agent for improving wound healing, skin ulcers, and strains & sprains. Beware, though, the root is a carcinogenic and can react unfavourably with prescription medicines if taken internally. |
