English: This file and image is based on the research work of Israel J Ross (1979). The citation for the peer reviewed research paper is "Ross, Israel J. (1979) 'Ritual and Music in South India: Syrian Christian Liturgical Music in Kerala.' Asian Music. 11 (1): 80-98". This image shows the common origin and form of traditional Jewish music and traditional Kerala Nasrani christian music (Music of Saint Thomas Christians / Malabar Malayali syrian christians). The element of organum singing is common to Kerala Nasrani Christians, Cochin Jews, Hebrew Samaritans and Yemenite Jews and shows their common origin
