Summary

edit
Description Found in my porch (Ipswich, VC25 East Suffolk, TM166450) today 25 July 2015. ID from key in Stubbs and Drake, confirmed by Ian Andrews on the Facebook UK Diptera Group page. Note tip of antennae stout rather than spine-like and discal cell not greater than width of hind tibia. The larvae of these flies live in water, maybe in my garden pond.
