Composition murale de l'époque de la RDA Bundesministerium der Finanzen, Leipziger Strasse 7 L'immeuble a été initialement conçu en 1935-1936 par l'architecte Ernst Sagebiel pour le ministère de l'aviation du Reich. Il a été peu endommagé par les bombardements de Berlin et a été occupé de 1945 à 1949 par l'administration soviétique. En octobre 1949, à la création de la RDA : République Démocratique d'Allemagne (GDR : German Democratic Republic), il a été occupé par des bâtiments administratifs du régime socialiste. La première composition murale représentant les armées nazies a été remplacée en 1950 par une frise de propagande à la gloire du régime de la RDA. Actuellement, le site commémore les évènements du 17 juin 1953 au cours desquels des travailleurs se sont insurgés contre le régime. |
