| Description |
English: 1984. British Airways' iconic Concorde G-BOAB waits for it's passengers at London's main airport.
The flight on this misty morning is a charter to Cairo, taking 100 people on a 7-day trip to Egypt at twice the speed of sound and at more than 55,000 feet - way faster and higher than any other passenger aircraft. The return journey will be on the same aircraft. Looking from this angle you get a hint of the complicated wing shape that allowed it to fly so fast but still be able to land at a safe speed. It's only my opinion but I think Concorde has been one of the most graceful and beautiful aircraft ever. Camera was a Nikkormat FTn and 50mm f2.0 AI lens. Film not known. |
