English: Converted barn, Syderstone Formerly a cattle stockyard and now a dwelling. Livestock farming has long gone from around Syderstone. Historically the local farm, which was largely arable and employed a fair number of labourers and tractor drivers, kept a beef herd and gradually sold the beasts to pay wages through the winter. |
