English: Anonymous copy of the "Dormition of the Virgin" by Ercole de 'Roberti (ca. 1455 - 1496), housed at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota (United States). The "Dormition of the Virgin" was a part of the set of frescoes made by Ercole Ferrarese for the Garganelli Chapel in the old Cathedral of San Pietro in Bologna since 1478. The chapel and its frescoes are today almost completely destroyed.
