English: Designed by Louis Sullivan was this stained glass window originally from the Auditorium Building in Chicago, installed upon the building's construction in 1889 and probably removed during renovations in the late 1960s. With his partner Dankmar Adler, Louis Sullivan was one of the premier American architects of the late 19th century, whose innovations almost singlehandedly made possible the construction of high-rise buildings and whose signature style was an important precursor to Modernism. Stained glass, often in abstract geometric designs as seen here, was a prominent element of Sullivanesque ornamentation.
