Description U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District’s Brandon Muncy (left), chief of Civil Works, explains some of the history behind the delta islands including Frank’s Tract, which was flooded and abandoned, leaving a lake-like feature in the delta’s maze of water ways, and is now a popular spot for fishing. The Sacramento District hosted two delegates from Thailand, March 30, 2012, explaining on-going projects in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and on the American River; and demonstrating how the Corps, along with its partners, is addressing flood risk challenges through a watershed approach.
