Description
English: The blazing of Arms or the Ensigns memorial of Botswana. It presents a shield supported by two zebras. At the top of the shield are three cog wheels in mesh representing the country's industry.Across The center are three wavy bands or barriers in fesse azure representing reliance on water. Below or at the base is a bulls head representing livestock farming. The zebra supporting the elephants tusk represents Botswana s wildlife while the other supporting sorghum stands for agriculture. The motto pula means lets there be rain which is also used as a national slogan of acclamation.The use of coat of arms for any purpose should be sanctioned by the president in order to ensure compliance with the culture of respect and reverance for our national symbols.
