Description

You certainly get surprises from Cotswold's. Their list is always a very eclectic mix and the size of the specimens you receive also varies widely. Sometimes you'll get a tiny rooted cutting or seedling that needs to spend at least one season on the nursery before it can be expected to hold its own in the garden. Other times - as with the Bergenia emeiensis on the left you get a really nice chunky pot-full.

Btw - Cotswold's tend to send out their plants sans pots - wrapped in newspaper and plastic bags. I've potted these up and top dressed with grit until planting time. The Bergenia especially is reckoned to be on the tender side.
