Summary

Description
English: Cottage Detail, Chantmarle Flint rubble is very much in evidence in the fields and in the construction of local vernacular buildings in this area which is dominated geologically by chalk. Some brick has been used in this thatched cottage and also some cut golden Hamstone which almost certainly was scavenged from Chantmarle Manor, a large house nearby built entirely of Hamstone.
