Summary

edit
Description
English: Cottage from Harome, Ryedale Folk Museum, Hutton-le-Hole. This had been a cruck-framed cottage, but was rebuilt in the 18C. The interior is of a typical late 19C cottage, with an iron kitchen range. It has a second storey in the roof. Next to it is a hovel, a small one-room dwelling with an earth floor, as would be the home of poor people in medieval times. A witch has been installed inside.
