Deutsch: Mietwohnhaus in Cottbus, Brandenburger Platz 6, errichtet 1887, 1985 Fassadenrestaurierung; in den 1990er Jahren vollständige Sanierung, Gebäude über trapezförmigem Grundriss an der Nordseite des Platzes errichtet, im Erdgeschoss mit Fugenschnitt beidseitig der Durchfahrt Läden, die ehemaligen Ladentüren zu Schaufenstern reduziert, die Seitenachsen durch analogen Fugenschnitt als Risalite markiert und durch reich geschmückte Erker mit abschließendem Balkon akzentuiert, vier Mittelachsen mit gelben Ziegeln verblendet, hier Fenster mit jeweils differenziert ausgeführten Putzrahmungen und Brüstungsfriesen, im dritten Stock über ausladendem Hauptgesims schlichte Attika mit rundbogigem, von Zahnschnitt begleitetem Abschluss, ohne nennenswerte bauliche Veränderungen erhaltene Historismusfassade mit ästhetisch ansprechendem Erscheinungsbild, deren repräsentativer Gesamteindruck insbesondere auf der wirkungsvollen Rahmung der zentralen Verblendziegelfläche mit verputzten Wandbereichen sowie dem vielfältigen Fassadenschmuck basiert, die der architektonischen Gestaltung gewidmeten Aufmerksamkeit, erklärt sich aus der exponierten Lage am Rande des in dieser Zeit neu erschlossenen Kaiser-Wilhelm-Platzes, an dessen Nordseite der Bau bis heute den baukünstlerisch wie städtebaulich prägnantesten Bestandteil bildet; Kulturdenkmal
English: Residential house in Cottbus, Brandenburger Platz 6, built 1887, 1985 façade restoration; in the 1990s complete refurbishment, building built on trapezoidal floor plan on the north side of the square, on the ground floor with fugue cut shops on both sides of the passage, the former shop doors reduced to shop windows, the side axes by analogous fugue cuts marked as Risalite and accentuated by richly decorated oriel with a final balcony, four central axes faced with yellow tiles, here windows with differentiated accomplished plaster framings and parapet friezes, on the third floor over protruding main cornice a plain Attic with round-arched completion accompanied by tooth cut, historicist façade kept without significant structural changes with aesthetically pleasing appearance, whose representative overall impression is based in particular on the effective framing of the central facing brick area with plastered wall areas as well as the varied façade decoration, the attention devoted to the architectural design is explained by the exposed location on the edge of the during those days newly developed Kaiser-Wilhelm-Platz, on which north side the building to this day forms the most architecturally and most city scaping part; cultural heritage monument
