Description
Français : Cour Saragosse à St-Maixent (79), façade extérieure est ancienne abbaye/caserne Canclaux, côté médiathèque intercommunale "Aqua Libris".

L'endroit est nommé d'après le siège victorieux mené par les troupes napoléoniennes lors de l'hiver 1808-09 au cours de la campagne d'Espagne, sous commandement final du maréchal Lannes. Le 114e R.I., fraichement formé, pris une part active aux combats.

La face sud présente une plaque en hommage à l'assaut, lui aussi couronné de succès, mené contre la cité catalane de Lerida/Lleida au printemps 1810 sous les ordres du général Suchet, promu suite à cet exploit.
