English: Cramp Balls Fungus, The Sheepwalks, Staffordshire The fallen oak tree has these fungi in small colonies on the whole extent of the trunk. This example group is about 12cm in length. These are common on dead trees, and are called King Alfred's Cakes, or Cramp Balls.
